Scenic Walk - A long walk through the woods

The tour begins at the Burren-Wirtschaft, a popular starting point on the edge of the Burren Forest. Since 2025, the Biberacher Friedwald has also been located here.

From the Burren-Wirtschaft, the trail first heads north along the Langweiher-Wiesenweg. It winds through meadows and along the forest edge until the open areas end, where you turn left into the forest and follow the signs for “Aussichtsrunde.”

The Burren Forest is considered an important local recreation area for the residents of Biberach. Its special charm lies in the diversity of tree species: beech, maple, hornbeam, oak, larch, and Douglas fir create a varied forest atmosphere and provide welcome shade over long stretches.

Soon you reach the first viewpoint with a magnificent view over Attenweiler all the way to the Swabian Alb. Just about 500 meters further through the forest, another panorama opens up at the second viewpoint near Gutershofen. The trail then continues for about 2.6 kilometers through the forest before you reach the starting point again at the Burren-Wirtschaft.
