Altes Haus

From the very beginning, the “Alte” was well-received by the youth of Biberach. One novelty at the time, for example, was having music played in a pub. The sometimes unconventional decorations also provided plenty of conversation topics. For instance, bed frames, beer crates, a stage curtain that raised fire safety concerns, and a neon sign for “Windows and Doors” were all hung from the ceiling.

In 1981, Friedel bought the building and added a good 50 square meters. That year, the first “Weiße Fest” took place, and since then, there have been regular live concerts at the “Altes.” In 1996, a kitchen was added and the garden was redesigned. Hans-Peter Leicht joined as a second manager. The “Alte” now offers a daily changing lunch menu.
