Right in the center of the town, opposite the town hall and the Waaghaus, stands the Lederhaus, built around 1400. It was extended around 1513 and once served as a market building for shoemakers, saddlers and tanners.
The exterior of the house is decorated with elaborate illusion paintings, which date back to 1574 and were extended around 1905.
Today, the stately building houses the Ravensburg Tourist Information Office and the Office for Tourism and City Marketing. Here you will find a handcart rental service, baby changing facilities and much more.
